Sweet and Sassy

Sunday, our friend Melinda and her daughter Isabella invited Tatum and I out for a night on the town. Izzy was celebrating her 6th birthday and Melinda took them to Sweet and Sassy for a mini spa day.

This place is sooo cute. It is just like a miniature spa. It has foot baths for pedi's, tables and dryers for mani's and salon tables for hair and makeup. It also has a little catwalk for the kids to "strut" their stuff. Tatum and Izzy had a great time. They started them off with pedi's. The kids got to pick out their own polish (purple) and a toe ring. TOE RING? Tatum thought it tickled when they were "cleaning" her feet. Izzy was giggling the entire time too!

Next up were the mani's. They got to to pick their polish color (T picked blue ) BLUE?? and a decal to put on their nails. I asked her to sit under the dryer twice as this might be the longest time polish has ever been on my kids nails.

After nails was hair and makeup. They got to pick from several different styles that did not require a cut. T and Izzy chose different styles. Tatum said it was the first time she "missed" her long hair--but quickly got over it when she touched her hair and it was sticky and I explained that it will be that much more sticky in the morning. I had to try to tell her that I could try to duplicate the style for Monday but I had not guarantee's.

After the girls were done, they did a quick stunt on the catwalk. The girls were so cute strutting their stuff and posing for pictures. It was truely like Hollywood for them. They got to wear boa's and play loud music. It was a very fun day. We are so very blessed to have great friends that wanted to include us in their very special day.

After Sweet and Sassy, Melinda and I decided we didn't want the girls' makeover to simply go to waste....so we opted to take them to a "fancy" restaurant for dinner. We chose Molly Woo's since that is Izzy's favorite place to eat. We walked over and the girls held hands the whole way and had little chats..so cute!

Iz wanted to eat outside so we enjoyed our dinner outside. We all had a great dinner and we got ice cream and banana egg roles for dessert. The weather was great and it allowed us adults time to chat and the girls to simply do what they do best...be silly.

Happy Birthday Isabella. We hope you enjoyed your day as much as we did. Thank you for letting us be a part of it!
