Have to send praises out to my dad for again taking care of Beckett while I was in with the doctor. This would have been the WORST day for him to have been stuck in there with me. The doctor was running late and I was in there in almost an hour--which is strange as they typically get me in early and I leave within 15 minutes.
This week as been OK. I haven't been getting a lot of sleep. My hips have been hurting big time and I can't sleep much past 4am. I have been having immense charlie horses and leg cramps too. Yesterday, they were so bad I couldn't stand for an hour. Luckily, I ate a banana and they calmed down enough for me to get to work and SIT there for 8 hours.
Baby is still down and moving like crazy. The doctor kinda tried to "push" me a little to a three and "sorta" stripped my membranes. She said she didn't do it all the way as that wasn't her intention but that my cervix didn't like it anyway so she stopped before it got bad. Didn't stop me from cramping and bleeding and hurting for the last 2 hours. :(
I decided to park it on the couch here for a little bit.
Baby was NOT cooperating for the doctor today though. She asked if I felt baby was big and I said I couldn't tell a difference from my other two. She said that usually means they are usually around the same size. ????? I am still measuring at 37 weeks so I am not sure what kinda news that brings. However, she will not induce unless you go over 40 weeks so I am good there for now. However, if this baby doesn't come soon, I may ask her..LOL (joking)
I know Andrew and I were really gunning for the natural childbirth this time around...and by natural I mean without induction. I am NOT against pain meds. I just have had horrible, horrible outcomes with both of them. With T, I got an epidural which only took on one half of my body. I felt everything on one side...so my healing was also off. I was compensating for pain on one side with the other. With B I got the other side effects, like the shakes, headaches, backaches and swollen appendages. Not looking forward to any of those side effects this time around. I am not against induction either but man were those contractions painful:)
Well, here's to another week and another updates. If you pray, please pray that baby comes this weekend! I would love it to be in the next three days. I do prefer NOT to have a Sept 11 baby but that is for personal reasons. Lets aim for 9-10-11!!! OK prayer warriors...GO!
Till next week,
Kim
