My Superstar

Tatum has recently been awarded Student of the Month. Each year, they use character words to follow and learn. September's word was Character. Tatum received this award last year as well. I can't tell you what this means, as a parent, that your child gets rewarded for her character. I think it means MORE to me as a parent than it did to her to receive it.

She has been doing so well and her teacher has nothing but good things to say about her. Andrew and I recently went to parent teacher conferences and once again, we got nothing but good reports. She is still reading at a 2nd grade level and enjoys math. She is reading at home all the time. She got nothing but 3's on her progress report. Her daddy and I are so proud.

Tatum seemed to have a rough week the week we brought Finley home. No matter what we tried to do she just didn't want to adjust. She quickly got over that though. We've allowed her to bring a friend or two home and that has helped a little. She's been coming home after school too since I've been here and maybe that might have helped some as well.

Now if we could get her to stop growing. She is getting so big so fast. I can't keep her in clothes and the clothes I just bought at the beginning of the school year are already getting too small. UGH~ and make her run a little faster in soccer. Makes us wonder if she still enjoys it!
