Happy Birthday Beckett.
Today you are a bright, funny, high spirited little boy. Just as I thought, no longer my "baby boy". You are so not afraid to let me know. You have accomplished so much in this last year. I wasn't sure we were ready for all you wanted to do. You seemed to grow into things so quickly.
You may have started growing, but your interests haven't changed. You still love your trains. While your Thomas obsession is over, you love playing with Geotrax. You are always asking daddy to build you a track. I think you figured out quite quickly that mommy just doesn't have that ability. You also love playing with figurines--like daddy's old Star Wars characters and your new Batman toys. You play very well (most of the time) with Tatum as you guys roll play and cohabitate your characters (batman and Moster High). I am sure I will never hear the end of that in years to come.
For your birthday you didn't ask for much. I think you got so much for Christmas that it was just overwhelming you. You have been interested in Play Doh for a long time so we bought you several different sets of those. You pulled them out right away and played for about an hour.
Aunt Krissy and Grandma Jahnssen called to sing to you and you thought that was very cool. We offered to take you out to get some ice cream and you were not interested. We ended the evening all playing Play Doh together and making some cars with it. You seemed to really enjoy your birthday.
I hope the next year brings amazing things for you my son. You have certainly blessed our lives. We love you:)
